The Registration System allows a variety of features depending on the staff member’s permissions and role specifically in the Registration System. View the resources under the appropriate role. All Staff (End User Role)

Every BCPS Employee has been assigned this role. This is the most common role (also referred to as an end user) that provides the ability to search the course catalog and register for a variety of professional development opportunities. This new system refers to all opportunities as “courses” whether the opportunity is non-credit, for MSDE/CPD credit, or offers Continuing Educational Units to specific non-instructional staff. These video tutorials are also available from the Welcome channel on the Home page once logged into the new Registration System.

Course Builder Role
This role is assigned to selected Central Office and school-based staff responsible for building courses and sections in the Registration System. Only BCPS staff that has completed training will be granted permissions in the Registration System. For detailed instructions on how to create courses and sections and how to perform different tasks associated with this role, review the Course Builder handout.

Approver Role
This role is assigned to selected Central Office staff and principals responsible for approving the courses and sections submitted in the Registration System. Instructor Role
This role is assigned to selected Central Office and school-based staff serving as a section instructor in the Registration System. For detailed instructions on how to perform different tasks associated with this role, such as view the class roster and waitlist, print sign-in sheets, and reconcile attendance, etc., review the Instructor handout.

Office Viewer Role
This role is assigned to selected Central Office and school-based Course Builders and staff responsible for overseeing professional development opportunities offered by the respective office/department in the Registration System.
