Staying Afloat: How to Cope in this Chronic State of Uncertainty

(Janice Zimmerman & Courtney Brown)

Most of us hoped that the pandemic would be over by now. That we would be back to our “normal” lives. We experience racial injustices, a politically divisive climate, mass violence, and now weather disasters. We are adjusting to a chronic state of uncertainty. Our traditional ways of coping may just not be enough. In this presentation, we will identify “flotation devices” and different swimming techniques (coping skills, self-care strategies) that can be used to help you stay afloat as you navigate these troubled waters.
