Special Educators

Sessions are organized by audience.  Please scroll down to find the session that matches your assignment. There is no need to register, simply join the relevant session at the appropriate time.  The only exception to this is content areas who are requesting that teachers select choice sessions.  If this applies to you, you will receive an email from your content office. If your assigned sessions are not full day please feel free to visit the All Staff link on the Professional Study Day homepage to access optional synchronous or asynchronous sessions.

 

Audience:  Special Educators of Functional Academic Learning Support and Communication Learning Support Service Model (Required)

Session Title: Professional Study Day: Dynamic Learning Maps Assessment Training

Description: FALS and CLS teachers will receive mandatory Dynamic Learning Maps Assessment training to prepare for alternative assessment fall administration. This is a mandatory training for FALS & CLS teachers for tested grades (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th ,8th, 9th and 12th).

Time: This is an asynchronous session. Participants can choose from four Q&A sessions: 9:00 am -10:00 am, 10:15 am - 11:15 am, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, 2:15 pm - 3:15 pm

Session Title: Department of Special Education Professional Study Day 2021- Compensatory Education Determination Process- Session 1

Description: This session will provide teachers with an overview of the compensatory education determination process. Teachers will review guidance documents and participate in scenarios. Special Educators must attend one of the offered sessions (Session 1, Session 2, or Session 3).  Groups within each session have a capacity limit of 60 participants.

Time: 8:30 am - 10:30 am
