Sessions are organized by audience.  Please scroll down to find the session that matches your assignment. There is no need to register, simply join the relevant session at the appropriate time.  The only exception to this is content areas who are requesting that teachers select choice sessions.  If this applies to you, you will receive an email from your content office. If your assigned sessions are not full day please feel free to visit the All Staff link on the Professional Study Day homepage to access optional synchronous or asynchronous sessions.

Session Title: Be the Master of Your Domain (4)!

Description: Early career educators regularly navigate elements of Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities within the Danielson Framework to attain tenure and improve their professional practice. Spend time with a veteran BCPS teacher to learn how to leverage time and resources to crush components in Domain 4 and be rated Highly Effective on your next formal evaluation.

Session Title: The Impact of Violence on the Mental Health of Children and Adolescents

Description: As we navigate these trying times - COVID -19, social unrest/racism, increased mass violence, etc. - our mental wellness and the mental wellness of our students is being impacted. Participants will learn ways to support their students as they transition back to 5 day-in person learning, while they continue to balance their mental wellness during these violent times and their academics. Thrive Behavioral Health will be presenting.
