Creating Space: Talking With Students About Difficult Topics

In preparation for upcoming events, the Department of Equity and Cultural Proficiency in partnership with the Department of Organizational Effectiveness, created a resource entitled Creating Space: Talking With Students About Difficult Topics. This resource was announced at the most recent Virtual Principals’ and Assistant Principals’ Leadership Development meeting in October and immediately followed by support from members of the DECP and DOE teams at subsequent principal check-ins. Additional support sessions around this resource for other school personnel were held in addition to Equity Specialists from DECP providing specific support to schools who made requests with the expectation that this resource would be shared with school personnel across the district prior to November 1. A timeline of these events is listed below along with a link to access the resource document.
